Match comments: This was the opening of our evening matches for Thursdays in 2008. Archie Brokkes fished very well with meat on the bomb under the islands. Dave fished 13 metre pole to kiss the island, he fished with a mix of chopped worm and pellet.

Match comments: Ken with meat waggler to the island again can anyone stop him?(3/4). Steve fished pellet on a 7m pole down the edge and in front.

Match comments: First place winner fished caster on a 13 metre pole out in front. Stoney caught with pellet at 18 inch on a waggler. and third place fishe dmeat waggler to the island.

Match comments: Ken fished with a 10g waggler with meat over to the island. Steve fished pellet on 7m pole down the edges and in front towards the fountain.

Match comments: Winner caught mainly with pellet off the island, second and third had good results with maggot and worm both off the island and in the margins.

Match comments: Winner fished meat feeder to the island, second fished double red maggot with maggot feeder and third fished meat on the bomb over to the island.

Match comments: Steve pipped Colin to the win with a mixed bag of fish consisting of bread, Ide, Tench and Carp to 5lb. Steve fished pellet on a 10m pole straight out. Colin fished pellet and corn over the the water flow down the left side.

Match comments: Colin and Pete both fished mainly corn down the margins to his right withe the odd fished caught on pellet. Ron had a 8lb albino grass carp caught on pellet over on the island.

Match comments: Jack and Ken fished meat on the bomb over to either side of the island.

Match comments: First place fished over to the bridge with pellet and pole. Trevor caught on the tip to the island using meat.

Weather conditions: Misty all day
Match comments: Another top days winter fishing on Hoskers which nearly saw the Hoskers lake match record broken, only 7lb short of the 110lb record. Zak had corn, maggot and pellet in his arsenal, but I think his danger bait was pellet, he fished just short of the reeds on the island and bagged a stockie carp every chuck throughout the day. Tom fished more or less the same method with meat and pellet. Steve fished long pole to the island/bridge end using a bed of chopped worm with caster over the top. Steve landed the biggest fish of the day weighing in at 14lb 8oz.

Match comments: Tom fished pellet and corn on 9m pole. Stev fished top 2/3 with maggot for a net of silvers. Colin caught on pellet and corn down the edge on two peg but the carp werent there in there numbers.

Match comments: First club match of the year on AJ's. Ade fished pellet down the edge on peg two for stockie carp that seem to be holding there with the current wind direction and temperatures. Rick fished pellet on a 13 meter pole to bag a mix of silvers. Pete fished red maggot on top 4 into the right hand bay.

Match comments: First match on Hoskers this year for the open lads, and I think they'll agree it fished very well. Tom and Zack caught very well on a mix of pellet and meat at around 6-8 metre pole. Colin fished closer in with corn.
