Fishery Rules and Regulations
General

This is a catch-and-release venue.

You must be in possession of a valid E.A. rod license before fishing.

All nets and unhooking mats must be dipped and laid out to dry for 30 minutes to help prevent the spread of KHV.

No dogs or pets are allowed on site.

All anglers/guests should have an appropriate seat and landing net (not carp nets).

All anglers must fish from the platforms and not the bankside edges.
-
No keepnets for day ticket anglers.
-
Under 16's have to be supervised at all times.

Please handle fish with care and return them to the same water immediately.

Only 1 non-fishing guest per angler/group.

No night fishing

Do not hammer bank sticks into the margins, if they don't push in don't use them.
Do Not

Move pegs, for bio-security moving ponds, is forbidden once you have started fishing.

Stand whilst fishing.

Gardening without consent.
-
Walk around carrying fish, or use cloths, etc to handle fish.

Leave litter or tab ends, litter must be taken home.
Bait
-
Banned - Floating bait, boilies, fake baits, no super glue or varnishes, nuts & seeds, bloodworm & jokers, cat meat & pet foods.

Candy Corner feed pellets only and must be purchased onsite.

Legal baits - pellet, luncheon meat, sweetcorn, wafters 8mm or smaller, maggot, caster, bread punch, worm, prawn, cockle, mussel, and cheese. (anything else ask first)

Groundbait:- must be cupped in or in feeders.

Leftover baits should not be thrown in the lakes, a bait bin is provided.
Tackle & Equipment Requirements

Barbless hooks only. Max hook size is 12.

No braid.
-
1 rod or pole only at a time.
-
No fixed or elasticated feeders, use beads and ensure they are free running.
-
Max pole length is 14.5 meters. No floating poles.

A float must be present on all fishing lines excluding bomb and feeder type methods.

Floats must not be lifted or held out of the water in order to mug fish. (Fish being caught repeatedly with float out of water will incur a ban).

3 keepnets required as a minimum for matches, 60lb per keepnet. Weights over 180lb will require a fourth net and weights over 240lb can be spread evenly over 4 nets. Nets are available to rent from the bailiff.
Offenders of these rules will be barred from the fishery. If you are unsure about any of these rules then please ask.
Please also bear in mind that this is a match and day ticket coarse fishery, not a specimen carp venue, expect to be turned away if your tackle is unnecessary or inadequate for the majority of our fishing.
If a bait is not on the banned list or the legal bait list that you are unsure about then please ask before using it.

The following baits must be purchased on-site:
Sinking feed pellets, 2mm, 4mm, 6mm, 8mm
All vehicles and fishing equipment is the responsibility of the visitor and must be covered by their own insurance, Candy Corner Fisheries will not accept any responsibility for loss, theft, or damage.
All clubs are responsible for taking away their own litter after fishing; clubs leaving behind litter may be prevented from further bookings
Health and Safety

Please note you must conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times

You must park and drive to the restrictions identified on the site notices

You must wear sensible footwear at all times

In the event of an accident or incident to yourself, you must fill in an accident form before leaving the site, or nominate an agent to do it for you

In the event of finding a fire or someone in the water you must sound the alarm triangles, these are situated around all of our lakes alongside life ring stations

Should you or anyone else require first aid the owner can supply a first aid box, please be aware that no staff on site can administer first aid. You or your match organizer should make arrangements for this
The health and safety policy and risk assessment are available on site for your inspection. Please be aware that all clubs or syndicates should have and be responsible for their own Public Liability Insurance.
